September 22, 2026 – Crosslink Motorsports delivered a strong weekend of competition at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR), collecting a Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) victory, multiple podium results, and a Masters class sweep during the penultimate event of the 2026 season. With only one event remaining on the calendar this season, Crosslink Motorsports is looking to finish on a high and build momentum towards their 2027 campaign.
In Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.), Fernando Rivera put together a consistent weekend, bringing home two sixth-place finishes in Races 1 and 2. The FR Americas lineup produced several standout performances throughout the weekend. Kekai Hauanio led the Crosslink charge in Race 1, battling his way to victory. Alex Bobadilla finished fourth, with Aidan Schuh close behind in fifth. Evagoras Papasavvas crossed the line 11th, while Kevin Janzen secured another victory in the Masters class.
Hauanio continued his strong weekend in Race 2, finishing second to give Crosslink another podium result and earning his second podium finish of the weekend. Schuh joined him on the podium with a third-place finish, marking the driver's first-career FR Americas podium. Bobadilla followed in seventh, while Janzen once again claimed the Masters class victory. Papasavvas was unable to finish after an on-track incident.
“It was another weekend that showed just how much strength we have throughout this Crosslink Motorsports program,” explained Team Owner Gill Kaszuba. “Though we fell short of the overall FR Americas driver's championship with Evagoras, Kekai getting the win in Race 1 and then coming back for another podium was fantastic, and seeing Aidan earn his first FR Americas podium was a really special moment for the team. Kevin also continued his incredible consistency in the Masters class. Fernando had two solid sixth-place finishes in F4, so there are a lot of positives we can take from this weekend.”
With the penultimate event of the season now complete, Crosslink Motorsports will turn its attention to the final round of the 2026 campaign at Barber Motorsports Park, October 16-18. The team will look to carry its momentum from VIR into the season finale and close out the year with strong results across both championships.
