September 1, 2026 — Championship leader Evagoras Papasavvas and Crosslink Motorsports are looking to carry their New Jersey Motorsports Park momentum into this weekend's Rounds 15, 16, and 17 of the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), as the series heads north to Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (CTMP) in Bowmanville, Ontario.

Papasavvas enters the weekend on the back of a strong turnaround at NJMP, where he rebounded from a difficult Race 1 — in which contact and on-track issues left him classified 14th despite starting from pole and setting the race's fastest lap — with a podium finish in Race 2 and a Race 3 victory. The result kept Papasavvas atop the FR Americas standings, though his points lead remains thin with three event weekends and seven races still to run before this weekend's trip to Canada.

“Race 1 was difficult to swallow, especially entering the weekend as the championship point leader,” Papasavvas said following NJMP. “We never gave up and bounced back to stand on the podium in Race 2 and claim some much-needed championship points. With the win, momentum is on my side as we head to the next event, and I intend to use that to my full advantage.” 

CTMP will mark a new circuit for Papasavvas, much like NJMP was before it. The 2.459-mile, high-speed layout was home to the first-ever Formula One Canadian Grand Prix in 1967.

“I am excited to race in Canada,” added Papasavvas. “The CTMP layout reminds me of my home track, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, and I hope that I can have similar results to the success that I have had their in the past.”
