May 19, 2026 — Evagoras Papasavvas delivered another standout performance this past weekend at Road America during the second event weekend of the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) season with Crosslink Motorsports. Originally scheduled as a three-race weekend, severe weather conditions on Sunday forced the cancellation of the final race of the event, shortening the weekend to two races.
Papasavvas showed strong pace from the start, securing pole position in qualifying for Race 1 on the longest circuit of the FR Americas schedule. He converted the front row start into a second-place finish after battling clutch issues at the start, dropping him from first to eighth running position by turn three. After a quick recovery and with a strong pace, he fought his way back up front by the end of the race.
Race 2 proved to be the highlight of the weekend as Papasavvas returned to victory lane with a commanding drive to secure the overall win for Crosslink Motorsports.
The strong results continue an impressive start to the 2026 season for the former INDY NXT podium finisher as he has taken control of the FR Americas championship points standings.
“It was a really positive weekend for us overall,” explained Evagoras. “The team gave me a great car all weekend, and it felt good to come away with both a podium and a win at such a challenging track. Road America is one of the toughest circuits we race at, so getting these results is a big confidence boost as we continue building momentum through the season.”
Papasavvas will now turn his attention to Rounds 7-9 of the FR Americas Championship at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, taking place June 11-14.
