Callum Baxter Joins Atlantic Racing Team at CTMP

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, Canada (August 19, 2025) - Atlantic Racing Team (ATL), established since 1989 as a family-run race car team, proudly announces today that Callum Baxter of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia will be joining the team for the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park near Toronto, Ontario on Labour Day Weekend, in addition with teammates James Lawley, also from Halifax, Nova Scotia and Connor Roberts of Georgia, United States.

Callum Baxter, 19, who is also currently a racing formula car in the well-known GB4 Championship in the UK with Graham Brunton Racing, is a three-time Canadian national karting champion and an F1600 Canada champion. He has raced in Canada, the U.S., Great Britian and Bahrain. He is partially sponsored by Chapmans’ Certified Collision Centres of Halifax, NS, and supported by Road to Racing Canada, a Canadian Motorsports Amateur Athletics Association (donations made to support Callum through R2R are eligible for a Canadian charitable tax receipt).

“We are extremely happy and excited to finally have Callum with us, completing a long-time wish list, that of having current race car drivers from Halifax in one team and one series. Over the past three years we tried and approached Callum’s family many times that Callum could join us, but it was just not the right time for him” said Ingo Strackerjan, Manager of ATL. “With all this behind us, we will now start with seat / paddle seating and testing at the local track (Atlantic Motorsport Park - AMP). Then off to Calabogie in Ontario to get him further accustomed to the Ligier JS F3 car with some pointers from his team partners, James Lawley and Connor Roberts, both already experienced in the JS F3 car. Once we have accomplished this task, we will be prepared for his first FIA-approved FR/F3 race weekend, hopefully coming away with some valuable FIA Super License Points.”

“I’m really looking forward to this opportunity to compete in my first F3 race, especially working with a team from my home province," said Baxter. "We’re ready to work hard and make Nova Scotians proud."

Graham Brunton of Graham Brunton Racing commented: “This is such a great opportunity for Callum. We have been so impressed with the way he is working with our team and I’m sure all the experience he is gaining on the UK circuits in the Tatuus F4 for the GB4 Championship will stand him in good stead to take on this exciting opportunity.”

“At Road to Racing Canada, our mission is to open doors for Canada’s most promising young drivers, and Callum is a perfect example of the talent we’re proud to support. His dedication, skill, and ability to perform on both Canadian and international circuits make him an exceptional ambassador for Canadian motorsport. We’re excited to see him take on this new challenge with Atlantic Racing Team and continue building toward a professional career,” said Neil Braun, President & Founder, Road to Racing Canada.
