LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 22, 2025) – Bruno Ribeiro earned his second Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) victory of the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. With a strong showing that included two victories in the weekend’s three events, Ribeiro (No. 01 Alfa Cem / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) climbed to the top of the standings with a three-point advantage over the other Mid-Ohio victor, Nicolas Ambiado (No. 55 Velox USA / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3).
Ribeiro started the event from the pole position, but a bit lax on the jump, second-place starter Ambiado immediately jumped to the point position. With tire management one of the keys to success in Sunday’s scorching temperatures, Ribeiro patiently waited for the race to come to him. As they neared the halfway mark, just 0.336 seconds separated the two frontrunners. Racing through the keyhole, Ribeiro pulled up to Ambiado’s gearbox as they reached Turn 3. He looked to Ambiado’s inside to have the preferred line as they raced into Turn 4 and emerged from Turn 5 with control of the race. From there, Ribeiro stayed focused out front and raced toward the checkered flag. With Ribeiro leading them across the finish line, Bowling completed a last-lap pass on Ambiado to snag second, while the Chilean had to settle for third.
