Team Claims Back-to-Back 1-2-3 Finishes in Rain-Shortened FR Americas Weekend
June 16, 2025 – Kiwi Motorsport delivered a dominant performance at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) this past weekend, sweeping the podium in both FR Americas races after inclement weather canceled race one of the originally scheduled three-race weekend. In what became a doubleheader showcase, Kiwi’s drivers proved untouchable at the Brickyard, as four Kiwi Motorsport drivers found their way to the infamous podium.
Saturday’s Race One was called off due to heavy rain and unsafe track conditions. The event resumed Sunday with Race Two kicking things off. Jett Bowling and Nicolas Ambiado lined up second and third on the grid, with Bruno Ribeiro and Nicolas Stati starting just behind in fifth and sixth. Veteran Masters driver Kevin Janzen started from the 13th position on the grid.
What followed was a complete sweep for the team: Bowling stormed to victory, Ribeiro followed closely in second, and Stati clinched third, locking out the podium for Kiwi Motorsport. Stati’s podium result was the first of the season for him and could be a great momentum builder for the rest of 2025. Ambiado narrowly missed the sweep, finishing a strong fourth as Kiwi Motorsport was untouchable.
In Race Three, it was Ambiado who turned the tables, taking the win ahead of Bowling in second and Ribeiro in third, repeating the team’s 1-2-3 performance for the second time in a single day. With the win, Ambiado assumed the championship point lead. Stati once again showed top-five pace, finishing fifth, and Janzen topped the Masters class, finishing 12th overall.
“It’s weekends like this that make all the effort worth it,” explained Team Owner Teena Larsen. “To sweep the podium twice at such an iconic venue with multiple drivers shows the strength and depth of our program. I’m incredibly proud of everyone on the team: drivers, engineers, and crew for their commitment and performance.”
"What a weekend all around," added Garry Orton. "Both our drivers and the entire team were dialed in, and it clearly showed in the results. Everyone executed at a high level, and we extended the Team Championship point standings lead with a maximum point scoring weekend."
The canceled Race One from IMS will be made up at the next round at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend, June 19–22, where the F4 U.S. Championship will also rejoin the FR Americas series for a packed weekend of racing. Fans can follow all the action live on the SpeedTour TV YouTube channel as Kiwi Motorsport aims to keep their momentum rolling.
