October 1, 2024 – Launching a driver development program to advance the skill set of the next motorsports stars, Toney Driver Development (TDD) is putting a pair of their drivers into race action next month. Taking on the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) finale at the famed Circuit of The Americas (COTA) over the October 31 to November 3 weekend, TDD will make their race weekend debut with Hailie Deegan and Brady Golan.
Working with some of today’s motorsports stars as they pass through the junior ranks with multiple teams, programs, and series, Nathan Toney wants to continue his success within his own driver development program.
“The goal for TDD is to develop drivers and prepare them for race events and future programs,” explained Nathan Toney, Owner of TDD. “After test days at various locations and big plans for the winter months, some of the best experience can be gained in real race experience, and putting Hailie and Brady into race situations will only advance their race knowledge and prepare them more for what is to come.”
"I'm beyond excited to be making my first open-wheel start at Circuit of The Americas with TDD,” expressed Deegan. “I have competed in a handful of races at COTA, and I am looking forward to my first open-wheel race start being at a track I'm familiar with. Standing starts will be new for me, but I'm always up for a challenge and the opportunity to continue to learn and drive.”
“I am thrilled to be on board with Toney Driver Development for the final two races of the 2024 FR Americas season,” explained Brady Golan. “I see this as a big step in my career, and I know I have the right team supporting me. The talent and dedication around this team are great, and I hope to show what we are capable of. It’s also amazing to be racing in my hometown of Austin, Texas, alongside Hailie [Deegan], another very talented driver. Thank you to Nathan Toney and Charles Crews and everyone else involved for making this all possible. See y’all in COTA.”
Toney added, “Entering the FR Americas Championship is going to be no easy task, especially as the 2024 season is set to conclude at COTA. I am thankful for the opportunity to enter TDD, Brady [Golan], and Hailie [Deegan], but it could not have been possible if it wasn’t for the help of some very talented and big-hearted people. A huge thank you to Kiwi Motorsport for their guidance and willingness to help a small program like mine jump onto the national scene. They have always been a phone call away and have been open to making sure I have what we need to go racing.”
