CHARLOTTE (September 18, 2023) – Kyffin Simpson is the latest graduate to step off the Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda (F4 U.S.) ladder and become a full-time INDYCAR SERIES regular for the 2024 season.
Signed to a multi-year driver development deal by Chip Ganassi Racing in May 2022, Simpson spent 2023 competing for HMD Motorsports in INDY NXT and for Ganassi’s LMP2 team in the European Le Mans Series.
Simpson will round out a five-car INDYCAR SERIES lineup for Chip Ganassi Racing, which also includes fellow FR Americas alum Linus Lundqvist. At just 18 years old, the Cayman Islander is set to be the youngest driver on the grid next year.
FR Americas & F4 U.S. alums currently set to compete in the 2024 INDYCAR SERIES season include: Kyle Kirkwood (Andretti Autosport), David Malukus (Arrow McLaren), Benjamin Pedersen (A.J. Foyt Racing), Linus Lunqvist and Kyffin Simpson (Chip Ganassi Racing).
