On Saturday at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Global Racing Group rookie Linus Lundqvist went Lights to Checkers to claim his maiden Formula Regional Americas Championship Powered by Honda victory by 3.407-seconds over second-place finisher HMD Motorsports driver David Malukas. After contesting for a podium position for the entire 30-minute feature, Santiago Urrutia dropped wheels off track in the final moments of the race, gifting the position to the battling Newman Wachs Racing driver Victor Franzoni who crossed the stripe in third.
