JOSHUA CAR HEADS TO OHIO WITH TEAM CROSSLINK TO KICK OFF THE 2020 SEASON

Returning to the paddock as the reigning F4 United States Championship Powered by Honda Champions, Team Crosslink will accept new challenges in 2020. Leveling up to the FR Americas Powered by Honda program with Joshua Car, Jose Blanco will fill his seat in the F4 side of the program as the Texas based program looks to challenge for both series titles beginning this weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Complex in Lexington, Ohio.

“Testing is complete, and we are finally ready to go racing,” explained Team Crosslink Manager Sean Owens. “We have two very talented and committed drivers that will fight for the title in both FR and F4. We have set our goals high and will work hard to achieve them beginning this coming weekend.”

Moving to the FR Americas program, Car will look to become a double champion to win back-to-back titles in both F4 and FR. Dominating the 2019 season, Car scored six race wins and total of fourteen podiums out of seventeen events to claim the series title by a 79-point margin. With the advancement scholarship in hand, Car will now throw his hat into the growing FR Americas grid and look to repeat his performances of the last calendar year.

Filling the void left by Car in the F4 side of the program, Jose Blanco will look to fill the shoes and carry on Team Crosslink’s winning ways. Claiming one win, seven podiums and a fourth-place result in the championship points battle in 2019, Blanco enters the 2020 race season as one of the title favorites as he looks to kick start his season in Ohio

Owens continued, “Our goal is to win, but nothing comes easy. We have put in the time and effort in the offseason, and we have confidence in our drivers. The 2020 program will see increased grids in both categories, but we believe that we can be at the front of the field and lead the way throughout the season.”

Taking advantage of a two day test a few weeks ago at Mid-Ohio, Team Crosslink drivers will return to the track Thursday for a single practice session. Practice two and qualifying will take place on Friday before wheel-to-wheel action begins on Saturday.
