F3 AMERICAS CHAMPION DAKOTA DICKERSON RECOGNIZED AT PRESTIGIOUS FIA PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY IN PARIS

This past weekend, Dakota Dickerson was officially crowned F3 Americas Champion on the world stage, at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris during the annual FIA Prize Giving ceremony.

For the second year in a row, the young American was invited to attend the year-end FIA gala awards ceremony alongside world renowned champions from all FIA-sanctioned Series, including Formula One, Formula E, World Endurance Championship, and Rally Cross.

Last year, after winning the 2018 F4 U.S. Championship, Dickerson traveled to Russia to attend this prestigious FIA ceremony for the first time.

“It was such a pleasure for me to be back for the FIA Prize Giving ceremony,” said the elated Champion. “Often times, these are “once-in-a-lifetime” experiences, so to be able to attend this prestigious awards ceremony for two consecutive years is phenomenal.”

“And spending the evening with legends of the sport like Lewis Hamilton and fellow Honda driver, Max Verstappen, was very cool to say the least,” added the 23-year old racer.

Dickerson was treated to some moments he will never forget in Paris, as he and his Mom played tourist in one of the most beautiful capitals of the world, known not only for its delicious croissants and café-au-lait, but also the fabulous museums, and the iconic Eiffel Tower.

“To cap off the trip, I was able to experience a lot of sights and exhibits throughout the beautiful city of Paris with my mom,” said Dickerson. Getting to tour the famous Musée du Louvre where Dickerson and his Mom finally got a glimpse of the most sought-after “Mona Lisa” was another highlight of their trip.

“All in all, I’m extremely grateful for this opportunity. It was a night to remember,” said Dickerson. “And if it weren’t for everyone who supported me these past years - my sponsors, my Texas family, Doug Mockett & Co., Ligier Automotive NA, Honda Racing/HPD, and of course, my family and friends, I wouldn’t be here today” added Dickerson. “When I went on stage to accept the award, it was not only for me but for everyone who helped me get up there.”

Dakota Dickerson is already looking forward to next season as he hits the track in less than a month, on January 3-5 in a Ligier JS P3 for the IMSA Prototype Challenge at the Daytona International Speedway during IMSA’s “Roar Before the Rolex 24” weekend race event. Dickerson has been offered a full-time ride with MLT Motorsports for 2020.
