World Speed Entering North American FIA F3 and F4 Championships in 2020

In 2017 World Speed Motorsports (WSM) - after 27 years of racing various formula cars - switched gears from their Road To Indy background. Two years later the team’s F4 program has taken off. WSM has been competing and winning in the Ligier F4 in the Formula Pro USA Western Championships since the series inception. The team now has 9 committed F4 drivers and has started developing a strong F3 team for the 2020 season.

In 2018 WSM launched the latest version of their multi-year driver development program starting with their west coast F4 program. The foundation of the program is to graduate drivers up into east coast F4 and F3 racing. “The concept of developing cars and drivers in a west coast championship, and then moving them to a national program is a proven method that has helped us bring up a lot of successful drivers and win Road To Indy championships in the past,” stated World Speed Strategist Mark Milazzo. “We now have some well developed drivers who will be taking our F4 cars onto the national stage. We are currently in final negotiations to complete the WSM driver lineups on both coasts. Given the great winter testing weather in California and the West Coast FPUSA Winter Series, it is always a great benefit for our drivers to sign early so that we can maximize each driver’s program.”

The west coast F4 program allows drivers to compete as young as 14 years old, again building their formula car foundation. “Karters can graduate to the F4 sometimes as young as 13, spend a year of testing with us, then compete on the west coast for a year or two, and by the time they get to the national championship they will have a 10,000 mile head start on their competition,” added Milazzo.

This is where the team with be racing, and the World Speed drivers who are expected to be competing. Additional drivers announcements are expected in the upcoming months.
