Velocity Racing Development Completes F3 Americas Three-Car Lineup with Dominic Cicero
Dominic Cicero, with support from Allen Russak and the Thermal Club, joins the Velocity Racing Development F3 Americas Championship Powered by Honda program, completing its inaugural 2019 season lineup. Bringing experience both on and off the track, Cicero, 39, will be an instant threat for race wins and podium results as the first official Masters Cup contingency entry.
"It's great to have completed our 2019 F3 line up," explained VRD's Daniel Mitchell. "I was lucky enough to go over and work with Dominic and the F3 Ligier at Thermal Club a while back, and after three runs and a few changes, we had soon broke the lap record on the new Hankook tires. Dominic's experience will be a brilliant addition for the team. He's very in tune with the car, knowledgeable and is ultra-professional."
Cicero has a wide array of professional experiences in his pocket. Not only has he been a professional racing driver, but he has also served as an ambassador for many of his partners, a high level driver coach and has represented both factory and privateer efforts on the international motorsport's scene. Having lived and competed throughout Europe, Asia and North America, Cicero is a true professional on every level. Alongside his vast driving experiences and skills, the newly confirmed VRD driver has also taken on the roles of a Spokesperson and Race Engineer. With a degree from the University of Le Mans, in Le Sarthe, France, in marketing and communication, public speaking,race-craft and engineering, Cicero is a complete package in and out of the driver's seat.

"I have had the opportunity to put some fantastic laps in on the F3 Ligier, and I am confident it will be a competitive vehicle on the track. Ligier knows how to build a great racecar. In an effort to attract drivers who are looking to maximize their racing opportunities with a cost-effective competition package that doesn’t sacrifice safety, speed or style, the F3 Americas program developed the Masters Cup contingency targeted to drivers age 35 and over. With more than $15,000 in cash and prizes available, the the new contingency program will award top drivers who are at least 35 years old with cash prizes at each event. The Masters Cup points-leading driver at the end of the season will receive the Masters Cup Champion contingency prize package. Eligible F3 Americas Masters Cup drivers will automatically be entered in to the program when applying for an F3 Americas license. Being a Masters Cup driver does not exclude competitors from F3 Americas Championship event podiums and payouts as long as they comply with all the 2019 F3 Americas Sporting Regulations.
