BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (October 21, 2025) – Titus Sherlock made a move on the final corner of the final lap to take the race win in the Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) season finale at Barber Motorsports Park. Earning his eighth win of the season, the Crosslink Motorsports driver closed out his title season in Victory Lane one day after clinching the season championship and the $100,000 year-end cash prize.
After setting the fastest lap in Saturday’s Race 1, Jett Bowling (No. 22 Bullhorn / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) led the field down the starting grid, with Race 1 winner Brady Golan (No. 80 Attire / Toney Driver Development Ligier JS F3) to his outside. Running wheel to wheel as they raced into Turn 1, Bowling took the early lead, but a pair of early cautions gave Golan another chance on the restart. Running hard around the outside of Turn 1 on a restart, Golan took the race lead just before the race’s halfway point. Behind Golan and Bowling, two 2025 champions—Titus Sherlock (No. 31 Rayne Nutrition / Ronald McDonald House Charities / Crosslink Motorsports Ligier JS F3), the 2025 FR Americas champion, and Cooper Shipman (No. 14 Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3), the 2025 Formula 4 United States Champion—were racing hard for position. Swapping the third position back and forth several times throughout the first half, Sherlock made the pass stick just past the halfway point, and then set his sights on Bowling in second. Overtaking second with just over 12 minutes left on the clock, Sherlock started to reel Golan in, setting up a game of cat and mouse for the closing laps.
Nicolas Ambiado (No. 55 Velox USA / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3) started last after an electrical issue in Saturday’s race prevented him from turning a lap. As soon as the lights went out, the Chilean set his focus forward, looking to charge through the field in an effort to clinch the Vice Championship. In eighth with 10 minutes left on the clock, the pressure was on, as Ambiado’s competition for the Vice Championship title, Bruno Ribeiro (No. 01 Alfa Cem / Kiwi Motorsport Ligier JS F3), was fourth on the scoring pylon. Moving up to sixth with eight minutes left, Ambiado was fifth as the clock dipped under five minutes.
As the top four—Golan, Sherlock, Bowling and Ribeiro—raced toward the waving white flag nose to stern, Ambiado caught glances of the lead pack, as he tried to run them down from seven seconds back. On the last lap, missteps by both Bowling and Ribeiro allowed Ambiado to close the gap and sneak by to claim the third and final podium position. Meanwhile out front, Sherlock kept the pressure on Golan all the way to the end, perfectly setting up Toney Development Driver to charge to the inside on the final turn and snatch the checkered flag. Crossing the line, Sherlock held Golan by just 0.064 seconds, while Ambiado followed in third.

“That was probably one of the most intense and craziest races of my entire life,” said Sherlock after climbing from the car. “I don't know how many times I went side by side with different drivers. At the start of the race, I wasn't too sure—we were under-steering quite a bit, and I wasn’t feeling too good in the car. I thought I might be finishing fourth or fifth today. Eventually, the car came in and started to feel really good. I just tried to pick them off one by one, but Brady did a great job defending. I couldn't get by him until that last corner on last lap. I went for something a little bit different, and made it happen to get the win. I couldn’t ask for a better way to end the season. I have to thank all the Crosslink Motorsports boys for giving me such a fast car, and Gil for believing in me. My mom, my uncle and everyone watching at home—thank you so much.”
