Kent Vaccaro and Momentum Motorsports Make the Move to F3 Americas

Two F4 seats now open for 2019 race season

Originally slated to fill one of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda machines, Kent Vaccaro will now level-up to the new Momentum F3 Americas effort as the team looks to run a four car program across both series in 2019.

"We were happy to have Kent confirm his intentions with our program late last year but are even more excited that he will jump to F3 with us as our program continues to evolve," explained Phil Picard, Owner of the Momentum Motorsports outfit. "We were set on having Kent compete in F4 with us that we completed several test days and proved to have one of the faster packages on these test days. We now have an open seat for any driver looking for a top tier program in 2019."

Obtaining their first Ligier JS F3 early this week, the team and driver are both anxious and excited to hit the track and fast-track their development prior to the season opening event.

"Originally my goal was to win races in 2019 and make a solid run at the 2019 F4 championship," explained Vaccaro. "Nothing has changed in my eyes. The car is a little different and faster, but my goals and the team goals of being crowned the 2019 champion has not changed at all."

Vaccaro added, "I couldn't be more excited to make the move up to F3. F3 Americas is at the forefront of American open-wheel racing; we've never had an FIA regulated open cockpit series quite like this in the past. I am happy to be able to join this incredible ladder system early on and I know there will be intense competition. I will be able to drive one of the most advanced race cars in the world, a Ligier JS F3 and this is a perfect place to prove myself as one of the best up and comers.  I couldn't be more thankful to have Momentum Motorsports behind me, as well as the opportunity to work more closely with world-famous companies like Honda, Ligier and Hankook."

Set to complete their initial car build, Momentum Motorsports and Vaccaro will hit the track in the coming weeks.

Picard added, "The 2019 season is going to be very busy but a good year. If drivers are looking to be part of our elite level program, please do not hesitate to contact us."
